i closed my tired, swollen eyes the moment i surrender to the bygone days,

my thoughts trailed back slowly to those captured happy Kodak moments,

it wasn’t just a dream, i refuse it to be,

oh, please do tell me it is so much more!

i’m losing myself and i can’t deny it,

my effort to retain my sanity seems to be in great danger,

just like little beads of sand held in the grip of my mighty hand,

the harder i curl my fingers inwards,

the more sand i lose towards the very end.

it’s not angst or even anger that i’m feeling,

i’m actually happy that the cloudy skies cleared for me,

the heavens told me something yesterday,

and finally did i understand how things work in reality.
